Description I recorded this pinhole photograph of a statue of a woman holding a nest with birds on 'World Pinhole Day, 2007'. I used a Zero Image large format (4x5) film pinhole camera, as well as a tripod. Note the interesting 'zoom effect' provided by distortions at the edge of this wide-angle field, as well as the over-arching trees. This statue is located in Downe's Memorial Park, in Pasadena, Maryland, near Baltimore.

I am a scientist, astronomer, mathematician, and engineer by trade, and a pinhole photographer by passion. Though I occasionally do "lensed photography", I generally do work with pinhole and zone plate cameras, where no lens is used. I work with either large format (4x5) or medium format film.
