Description In this painting I captured the direction of our attention and the motivation behind it. Many times we seem to get exactly the opposite of what we wished for when in reality, we are creating exactly what we are paying attention to; we just do not notice our attention. We have two elements in us. The experiencer and the knower. The experiencer pays more attention to the 'expressed emotions' and less attention to the 'underlying cause'. Where as the knower pays attention in the opposite direction. But together, the attention we pay to the 'cause' is much more than what we pay to the expressions since our 'intention' is to eliminate the cause. And this is what creates our reality. However, most of the time we notice our attention on the 'expressions' because we are more familiar with the experiencing element of us. That is when we do not understand why certain situations are created in our lives.Red represents our attention on the 'cause' and green represents our attention on the 'expressed emotion'. Blue represents the experiencer and black represents the knower. As you can see, the attention on cause is much more and quite intense.
Brihte ' Member Since October 2007 Artist Statement At one point of my life, I felt stuck. It felt like I was sinking in quicksand and any/every kind of movement was making it only worse. As I stood still and wondered what was happening, I embarked on a strange journey that brought me experiences that answered every question of mine. Every painting that you see in my galleries is what I experienced/realized at that moment. Through them, I am able to express my journey as it happened. Nothing can beat the joy of that expression!!!!
