Artist Statement The simplistic compositions created by Sandra Roberts are filled with surprise, mystery and emotion. In these vibrant soulful pieces, the viewer will experience his or her own interpretation of a story once told, a love once lost, or a city once visited. Most often the meaning is very personal and unique to the admirer.

These abstract paintings and mixed media pieces are created by painting, cropping, collaging textures and photographing images. Two dimensional images such as paintings on paper, photos, specialty papers, typography, photography, and various materials are layered together. Acrylic paint, pencil, pastel and watercolor may be added to enhance the composition, giving it depth and interest.
