DescriptionThis is a HUGE 6ft x 4ft Abstract painting of the ocean lovers. This artwork is extremely large. I needed a truck to transport it. I believe it was approximately 6 ft by 4 ft but it could of even been larger. It has been sold and is in a private collection also in Fort Lauderdale. It took me about 4 months to complete this work. Although it is abstract, it is a picture of the bottom of the ocean. It's a story of the loves of my life. The painting was done acrylic on canvas. There are actually only 4 different 'colors' of blue used in this artwork but they were all blended and mixed with whites or blacks to create the desired looks. The 4 different colors of blue, represent the 4 loves of my life. Each a different color, but still all blue. You can't probably see it in this small image but at the bottom of the ocean is an injured fish, it is laying on the bottom of the ocean. Another species of fish is trying to help it get up and go towards the sunlight and help it along to safety and to heal. This was meant to symbolize that we all may need help after our hearts are broken to once again see the sunlight. This is Ocean Lovers.
Chip Fatula, New Jersey Member Since December 2012 Artist Statement I enjoy photographing and painting interesting faces, people and places. I am particularly attracted to the "unexpected shot" (angle, point of view, face, expressions, attitude, the ironic and the out of the ordinary. I also enjoy traditional subjects such as flowers, landscapes, fruits, plants and artistic nudes. Most of my paintings are abstract in nature or contemporary. I guess I would categorize my artworks as original, unique and classic but with a twist. All of my artwork tells a story whether it is a painting or a photograph. I enjoy provoking thought, emotions and pressing buttons but with a twist or two. Thank you for checking out my galleries. Enjoy! Chip Fatula
