Description Oli no au i na pono Sunset Polo Beach Maui Hawaii This is a photo of a miniature horse on Keanae Peninsula blended with a sunset shot from Polo Beach, Maui Hawaii. This project was about four hours to completion with several attempts with the stitching until I finally liked what I saw and then additional histogram and curves adjustments. It is the result of one of those moments of inspiration. I cannot really say what occurred to me to stitch this sweet miniature horse with a golden sunset sky, but I can tell you, when I did, on the first attempt I was dazzled. After several readjustments I was very happy with the results and I am delighted it is so well received. He is such a sweet pony and each time we drive to Ke'anae to visit family and friends I always stop to see him. He only stands about 4 feet high and he wanders about freely on the pali, the seacliffs of Ke'anae. I have often wondered if he knows how blessed he is to live in such a beautiful place on the island. I think he does. Our friend's mo'opuna (grandchild) loves him too. He has a companion, another pony and they enjoy their days browsing and grazing with the sounds of the crashing waves nearby. This image is the group avatar for Dimensions and is a bit of an icon. His name is Keoki which is the Hawaiian form of George, meaning earth-worker or farmer. Keoki has much personality and is an amusing creature, which is why I chose to immortalize him with this portrait :))Hawaii AlohaE Hawaii e kuu one hnau eKuu home kuliwi neiOli n au i n pono lani ouE Hawaii, aloha O Hawaii, o sands of my birthMy native homeI rejoice in the blessings of heavenO Hawaii, alohaHui:E hau oli n pio o Hawaii neiOli !
