Artist Statement I started taking pictures in my late teens, my first camera was a used OM-1, I still have it. I loved the "Planting Fields" in Oyster Bay, the English Garden and the large rolling lawn, where people would set up blankets and play frisbee. I took a lot of pictures of flowers there. The second place I loved taking pictures way in the sky, a friend was a pilot with a couple of planes. It was one thing to lay on the lawn and look at the clouds, it was another to fly through them and snap away.
I moved to NJ in '83, learned I needed eyeglasses, looking through the lense changed, I put away the camera. The Year 2000 brings Change! My first digital camera, lots & lots of hiking in beautiful Harrimen State Park, and lots and lots of pictures, I'm in love again. I try to take pictures that reflect how I see it in my "mind". I try to capture color, texture, maybe even a feel. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them.
