Artist Statement My first love was literature, but a few years ago I discovered the visual arts, more specifically photography and fractals.

My fractals are made with the free program Apophysis. For more information on fractals: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fractal
Despite what most might think, the mathematical basis of this art does not exclude creativity, and the artist is ultimately the one who controls what the image looks like. Personally I find it a fascinating program to work with, and very challenging. I have yet to fully master the program, but that's part of its appeal...

As for photography, I bought my first DSLR in 2007, a Sony Alpha 100. Since then I've tried my hand as several types of photography, but mainly nature (mostly when I'm traveling) and anything else that doesn't include people. At the moment, I take all of my photos with my Sony Alpha 700.
