Description (with apologies to Lydia Marie Child)Pictured is a bridge over the river Ohe (known in Germany as the Eger) where it goes through the Bohemian town of Kadan in the Czech Republic. As far as old European towns go, Kadan seemed to be pretty complete to me. It had a castle, a town square where, and a wall. I also found it to be remarkably modern, especially for a small town that I'm sure most of you have never heard of before viewing this picture and reading this description. If you'd like to learn more, Kadan has, surprisingly, a pretty extensive entry on wikipedia and it's own website that's been translated into English and German. The town has a Franciscan monastery that holds a winefest every year featuring wine made from a vineyard on the premises.
Enough of the history lesson for now. Thanks for taking the time to view this picture and read this description. If you've decided to buy a print or framed version of this picture, thanks as well. I hope you have a great day.
