Heather Ogg, Charlottetown Member Since January 2008 Artist Statement Heather Ogg is a passionate designer, photographer, musician, and self-proclaimed creative-junkie. Her 20 years as a designer has given her photography a very distinct creative style. Although she specializes in dog photography, Heather also enjoys portraiture, landscapes, product photography and loves vintage work.
Before becoming a professional designer and photographer, Heather was a veterinary assistant with aspirations of becoming a dog trainer. Her extensive knowledge of dog behavior creates a fun photo experience producing beautiful photos that you will treasure for years to come.
Heather believes in being thankful and giving back. She volunteers her design services to EQUI-KIDS Therapeutic Riding for people with disabilities in Virginia and the SPCA Monteregie south of Montreal.
Heather grew up in Montreal, Canada, where she studied Creative Arts, Illustration & Design, and Photography. She has worked in design studios as well as in corporate environments with Bombardier and Pratt & Whitney Canada, and has extensive experience in design, communications and marketing. Her design work helped win two International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Communicator of the Year Ovation Awards in 2003 and 2004.
Heather and her husband Derek have six children, three dogs and three horses, and are living happily ever after on beautiful Prince Edward Island.
