Dana Aldis, Seattle Member Since March 2009 Artist Statement Dana Aldis grew up a world traveler. Her parents worked for the State Department and were stationed in Asia and West Africa. Through her travels Dana became a collector of Asian objects. The 30 Works is part of a series of small still life arrangements from Dana’s collection. In each painting, Dana focuses on the composition, color and narrative element. Dana works in oils, acrylics, egg tempera as well as in charcoal, graphite and gold leaf.
Dana Aldis is a classically trained artist with a BFA from the Corcoran School of Art and an MFA from the NY Academy of Art. She is also a bookbinder and boxmaker. See more of her work at www.danaaldis.com
