Artist Statement JOHN is a nature & travel photographer living in the Seattle, WA area. In 1991 he left the rancorous congestion of Manhattan & East Coast. Ever since, his photography reflects Creation's natural beauty in the Northwest & West. Interests include National Parks, mountain aerials, travel scenics, winter views, night skies & environmental photojournalism.

His work has been recognized in juried exhibitions, published in books including "Best of the Northwest", magazines (Audubon, National Geographic publications, Outdoor Photographer, etc.), newspapers, notecards, calendars & in uses by National Parks. He is a Volunteer Photographer for the National Park Service, Washington's National Park Fund (www.wnpf.org), & Advisory Board Member for the Photography Program at Bellevue College, Bellevue, WA.

He is creator of 3 photography guidemaps: "Seattle PhotoGuideMap", "Mount Rainier PhotoRovers(R)" North & Southside maps of Mt. Rainier National Park. Cut & paste address into browser for web link:


Having a collaborative spirit, John conducts photography workshops & organizes nature photography exhibitions (co-organized & presented in "The National Parks in Washington State" Exhibition, 10/2010 to 1/2011 at Washington State Convention Center, Seattle, WA).
