Description At the dock of Cruz Bay on the island of St. John in the USVI. This shot was taken from within the shelter that protects from the tumultuous Caribbean rain and punishing sun while waiting for the St. Thomas ferry. It offers a peak at paradise when the conditions are prime.
Greg Wright, Salt Lake City, Utah Member Since October 2006 Artist Statement My first camera, and the one I've used the longest, is the Pentax K1000. With it I learned many techniques about composition and subject selection. I have changed to digital using the Nikon D70s and D300. Although I miss the quality and purity of the film camera, but I too love the flexibility and creativity of digital photography.
As one might tell from the photo locations, I love to travel. In addition, there are many subject styles I like to take: lifestyle, landscape, nature, animal, and street photography.
The story behind the SnapJag name is coupled by the flare of Lifestyle SNAPshot photography and the love for the tropical JAGuar cat. With this comes the appreciation and focus of the task ... to enjoy the skill of simplicity through natural pristine photos.
I believe that "Creativity is Divine" and that through my god-given talents I seek to have the world recognize from where these talents come and we should be grateful for the opportunity to present the fruits of the skill and talent.
