Artist Statement Helen Kaufman has been a floral photographer in Sioux Falls, SD for almost 10 years. As a hobbyist she photographs for the various garden clubs, friends and family. Even strangers. She has never charged anyone a dime for her time because she gets so much pleasure in the taking.
5 years ago she was told she was going blind. Now completely blind in her right eye and legally blind in her left eye she still managed a wonderful year of pictures. 2009 photos caught the attention of myself and others that now promote her work. I am Helen's promoter, and aid. More importantly I am her friend, and greatest fan. She has taught me to see the world in a different light. The light of beauty through her eyes. Enjoy her work as we here in SD do.
