I am 25 years old and trying to specialize in photography. Once I learn my camera more I am thinking of taking some photography classes, that is if I choose to walk down that path. Amateur Photographer you might ask? An photographer has to start somewhere right? Even though, I am an amateur in photography, photography is currently just a hobby. I enjoy it very much because it is relaxing, calm and I get to control what I do; kinda like free-lancing. It controls my hyper-activity, gets me out of the house and mobile. There is so much freedom in Photography that your minds eye is the key to success. There is a saying 'If you see it in the view finder you missed a shot!' So timing is everything. Playing with 'S-Stop' (Shutter Speed) and the other 'Camera's Settings' can make the difference between a 'Good Shot' and a 'Great Shot'. I love learning new devices because it doesn't take me long to learn something because I'm a 'Jack of All Trades' when it comes down to everything. Although, my camera at times pisses me off, being an amateur answers that question. So I'm more controlled when I take a shot because I know one of my shots will turn out good until I get better. It takes practice and experience.
My profession is working in restaurants. Although, I have my 2nd year of Culinary Arts (Chef's Ticket) I do not see myself cooking for restaurants for very long. I like tinkering with things and always learning something new. That's why maybe I'm a jack of all trades, if someone needs something done either I know what I'm doing or will find someone who does.
