DescriptionDigital Painting using Jasc. 2006 Van Gogh always reflected me in many ways and I related to him from an early age.He is inspiration to both carry on and to never give up because of what his potential could had been had he the proper surroundings of today's trappings. I imagined him sitting for me and allowing me to capture his pain and passion in the computerized medium. This was a spur of the moment thing I just did mostly because the Muse bit me.This is one of the few times drawing freehand with a mouse on the computer accentuated the piece.
Kristof Corvinus, New Orleans,LA Member Since July 2007 Artist Statement I am drawn to the odd, strange and sometimes what most consider the darker side of the light. I am a painter by trade and enjoy all styles ranging from abstract-expressionism to realism. I enjoy graphic and coloured pencil art and the occasional playing around on various art programs ( I am addicted to Corel Painter) I recently developed an affection for polymer clay sculpting and I tend to keep to a whimsical style. My art style is Gothic with a heavy leaning into the more mysterious side of spirituality and darker aspects of life and death. The Day of the Dead and honouring one's ancestors appeal to me greatly. Everyday is Halloween! You can also visit my Etsy site http://www.etsy.com/shop/kristofcorvinus
