DescriptionDepicts a morning scene on St. Peters Street in the French Quarter of New Orleans. In the center is the building known today as Preservation Hall, because of its continuing role in the preservation of early jazz styles and traditions.
Bio Originally from northern Wisconsin, the artist began painting and drawing seriously as a young teen. He has done most every kind of painting, trained in classical Italian drawing, Japanese and Chinese drawing and painting, architectural drawing and rendering, and many more approaches to art, including digital imagery and photography. He has exhibited his work in many settings, from sidewalks and art fairs, to galleries, shops and restaurants, and has had numerous one-man shows and retrospectives. He lived and worked in Madison for many years and now lives in New Orleans and works at his studio - gallery in the French Quarter.
