Description During the Middle Ages Pontedeume was one of the most important boroughs of the Andrade Family which was particularly strong in Ferrolterra and for some centuries, the most powerful in Galicia.Pontedeume 43°24′23.58″N, 8°10′13.77″W is a borough of Ferrolterra in Northwestern Spain in the Province of A Coruña, in the autonomous community of Galicia. Ferrolterra's population represents the third largest concentration of people in Galicia, and its disperse population exceeds 211,000.
