Description Pyrates Alley (Pirates Alley) in New Orleans French Quarter - St. Louis Cathedral to the left, merchants and residences to the right, Jackson Square at the end. Frequented by Pyrates for over two hundred years...and now every year during PyrateCon (www.pyratecon.com) For those in douby, 'Pyrates' is the correct spelling, though the street sign uses the modernized spelling of 'Pirates'.
Edd Scorpio, Hamilton / New Orleans Member Since May 2008 Artist Statement I have always been a student of art & photography. Since I was a young child I have collected photos of my journeys - from the Equator to the Bruce Peninsula. Largely self taught, the artistic gene runs heavily through my family and I've studied the art of my relations (and others) while developing my own vision.
When not shooting "for the art of it", I shoots photos for websites, events, restaurants, fashion, musicians...
I also act (physically and vocally) for radio, theatre, film, television and as historically inspired characters at festivals, special events and tours (http://pyratesimage.com, http://nolapyrateweek.com, http://halfpennydreadfuls.com)
