Description Each exotic night-blooming Cereus cactus flower appears for just one day a year. One must quickly photograph the Cereus in all its glory as tomorrow the fiery bloom will withdraw to a tightened, spent bud. This is an SX-70 Polaroid manipulation.
Joanne Netland Member Since May 2007 Artist Statement IS IT A PHOTOGRAPH OR A PAINTING?
Much of my work involves photographing with Polaroid film that I hand-manipulate with tools or transfer by hand onto watercolor paper to create a painterly effect. These serve as originals for giclee prints on the paper you select or printing on canvas. You can go further and choose the mat, glaze and frame making this a truly personal expression. Considering the price and quality of workmanship that Imagekind provides this could be a rewarding experience for you or your client.
