Description The Lady Lamington Building stands on the grounds of the Royal Brisbane Womens Hospital and is heritage listed. Lady Lamington, the wife of the Governor of the day laid the foundation stone on 14 September 1896. The building provided accommodation for nursing staff at that time to 207. Sitting rooms, each with a fireplace, were a feature of the two top floors. This building has an odd feeling to it that I cant really explain, not like its bad or evil, but as though the people who lived there left echoes, remnants.
Ben Ryan, Brisbane Member Since September 2009 Artist Statement Hi, thanks for visiting. I'm passionate about photography and image making, mostly seascapes, landscapes and also urban. I shoot with Pentax digital SLR cameras and lenses combined with various filters, and all processing is done with Photoshop and occasionally Photomatix. I hope you enjoy my images, Ben.
