Description Cypress trees on the Dead River covered in Spanish Moss. It gives outsiders an eerie feeling, but to us natives it is endearing and centering. I never knew how much I valued it until I moved away for a short time and started missing the moss!
Carol Cameron, Homosassa, FL Member Since July 2007 Artist Statement After many years of taking photos and hearing that I should be doing this for a living I have set out to do just exactly that. Although years ago I had been a motor sports photographer, the travel and nature shots are something I had done for fun until now. I can only hope to show some of the beauty I've encountered along the roads less traveled. I never take a tour, my idea of traveling is to get to an area I don't know - go to the first road and turn right or left and see what I can find.
Life is too short not to experience it to the fullest!
I am also available for hire! I wish that I didn't have to say that, but unfortunately I acquired a habit of eatting many years ago and haven't managed to kick it yet!
By the way, the picture of Nokomis is my newest baby. She is now 18 months old, 132 pounds and 32 inches around the neck. Never believe what people tell you about wolves as pets! She is my 5th and I have lived with them for over 20 years and I'll never own another dog.
Thanks for dropping by. You can see more of my photography at my Flickr site at http://www.flickr.com/carolcam
