Description Layers of earth, packed and uplifted, show us signs of previous environments. Some layers reveal burned vegetation, some contain fossils of leaves and branches. There is much to be learned if we look closely.
Marilyn E Robertson, Princeton Member Since October 2007 Artist Statement I have been trained as an artist, but after many years of using my photos within my artworks, I have been drawn to doing mostly photos. Nature and our connection to it is what draws me outdoors with my camera, and it is the small things…the very, very small things that interest me most. Capturing just one very minuscule part of the planet can be so absorbing. Things are taking place within those 'captures' that we are usually unaware of. I just like to point them out.
I also like to capture landscape images that have a mood to them and once in a while I bring my head up to look at the bigger picture.
