This wonderful work is also known as "Stag Night at Starkey's" and is an early work of the American Master. Bellows was born in Ohio and moved to New York City at the age of 25. He became associated with the Ashcan School which advocated the painting of contemporary urban life. He won fame in that genre which he retained for the rest of life which ended in 1925.

This is an early work which wonderfully displays Bellow's commitment to contemporary American life and recreation.

This is an effort to capture the aid and assistance that one man can give to another. They can be friends, lovers or total strangers, but the ties that bind us one to another are insoluble.

Possessed

"Possessed", 2005. The work is a portrayal of a homoerotic male couple who get as close to one another as they possibly can.

For all the ages of man there have been men who, for whatever reason, have preferred the particular eroticism which is only available between men. This is an effort to capture some of that glory.

Kissing Duo

"Kissing Duo".
