I created this image from several photos of a large lotus leaf arranged into an infinite spiral, looking like a flower.

This image started with a wing of an owl that I found on the side of the road. It had been hit by a truck and had broken its neck. It was a beautiful owl! I wanted to represent the bird in flight, free and swift as it floats on the wind.

Keshua Girl, Peru

This girl lived in a remote traditional village where hand woven textiles were worn around the shoulders for warmth. She also has the tradtional hat which is hand-made with an elaborate pattern on the top.

Girl, Ollantaytambo, Peru

This young girl was in the village of Ollantaytambo, Peru. She earned a living by dressing in traditional Keshua clothing styles and allowing tourists to photograph her.

Mountain Range, Peru

These mountains are the range between Ollantaytambo and Machu Picchu, Peru.

Boy, Ollantaytambo, Peru

This boy followed me around in the village of Ollantaytambo, Peru, because I was taking photos during dusk. The children make a small living by posing for photographs. The house in the photo is part of a network of connected houses that make the entire traditional Incan village. It is still occupied with the original aquaducts fully functioning.

Lady at the Chicharia, Peru

This woman sits in a family-run Chicharia, a home-based business where theyy family makes and sells corn beer for the locals. When the beer is ready to drink, they hang a flag outside to let the neighbors know to come in. She is wearing the traditional white and black hat that most women in the villages of Peru wear.
