I was shooting an incredible sunset up in Pocatello, Idaho on Aug. 7th. Somewhere around 9pm. While shooting my wife and I noticed four stationary objects just hanging in the sky. They were sandwiched between the ground and the clouds. They absolutely did not move. Any ideas?

"Awesome" the herding collie

Meet "Awesome". On a recent trip to Des Arc, Missouri we came across this herding collie. We couldn't tell exactly where he lived. He sorta belonged to everybody. He came with us on most everything we did. On one afternoon he scooted under a barb wire fence and began herding a bunch of cows...problem was.. he was tresspassing on another farm! Not his herd! LOL To cool off he would just jump in freezing cold springs or the river. Even when the temperatures were freezing. He was an absolutely beautiful animal with apricot swatches around his two different colored eyes. He was a forager and could catch and eat game to survive. On one morning we came out and found turkey feathers everywhere! Good eating that morning I guess

Graveyard in Des Arc, Missouri, One of three stone markers in the Cemetery. The rest were all little white crosses or unmarked. Graveyard was primarly a resting place for civil war soldiers. There were a few locals buried there as well. This stone was obviously a local as indicated by the dates.

As I was driving down the rural roads in Des Arc, Mo. looking for photo ops.. I came upon this field of crosses. As I walked through the little cemetery you could almost feel a presence in the air. It was surreal. The skies were overcast, the temperature cold and the feeling haunting. This was the final resting place for a number of brave Civil war soldiers who perished in battle in this small clump of woods. Lots of unmarked graves, little white wooden crosses and about three actual stone markers. The whole aura could almost bring you to tears. You could almost hear their voices calling out in what proved to be their final battle.
