Dual Crossing by Jack Adamson
Tall ship's Leander, (tea clipper - right) & the Middlesex (mixed cargo pass- left) cross paths in high seas. Leander was broken up in 1901 & the Middlesex was lost at sea in 1896. Original painting was oil on canvas painted in the early 1990's.

The Garfield (Tea Clipper: circa 1882) runs silent in full moonlight over ocean midnight waters along the coast. Shades of the rum runners of old and illegal cargoes or pirates heading for home. Original Oil on Canvas by Jack Adamson painted 1990, The Garfield was abandoned on fire in 1895.

Harbour Rest

The Old Kensington, a Jute Clipper circa 1874 & the Collingwood, a Wool Clipper circa 1872 at anchor in calm harbor. The Original Oil on Canvas painted 1990. Old Kensington was retired from the register in 1909. The Collingwood was sunk by a German submarine on May 12th, 1917.

The River

The River depicts an age of sail when the great clipper ships were slowly dwindling from the high seas due to the advent of steam power and steel hulled ships. By the early 20th century the clipper ships and sailing ships of old had all but disappeared. The Original painting was Oil on Canvas and painted in 1989.
