An image that began as a 35mm photograph that was scanned into the computer to create a digital file. That file was then was heavily manipulated through photo editing software to create a painterly texture and effect.

Location is Hoquiam, Washington in the western United States.

Ganesha Indigo Flow

Five Points

Digital photomanipulation showing examples of the metaphysical Five Points in Nature; symbolic of the Four Directions and Center, (pentagram). Featuring sand dollars, a starfish, and sea shells enhanced through photo-editing software to produce a mild painterly effect to the original photograph image.

One of the reasons I chose to come to this location for printing services was the ability to frame custom to the artwork. I feel that final step of adding the frame IS in fact a part of the piece, overall, and allows the viewer to move through the forms as intended. Printing on canvas will alter the effect of the soft digital texture, that the image already has, in a negative manner. Worldly Woman

A feminine expression in digital photograph. Throughout the ages, and cultures of time, woman have been the prime target of marketing devises, in combination with social restrictions. This image bespeaks, in a contemporary format of low resolution photography, of the gentlewomans inner opinion of the world. Part of the sociopolitical series, "Toys", where the artist explores the concept of childhood toys representing the situations and ideas of the modern day world.

Americana

A photograph, enhanced by digital means, of a sardonic look at the debris of modern American summer life. Note the details such as the Native American blanket and the box package text, "Made in China". Title and artist name lower right corner, first black border included in image. Corner of Seventh and L

Photomanipulation digital painting of a moss covered old building at the corners of 7th and L streets in the city of Hoquiam in Washington State. The windows of the building in this contemporary landscape scene have been covered with the graphic text portions of aged advertisements signs.

Goddess Clouds and Rain

"Goddess Clouds and Rain", a dark brooding storm in the sky bed of the Earth Goddess. This work is a photograph, by Tree Pruitt, that depicts the many layers of this artist's work. A tiny hand sculpted figure pendant of a plump belly motherly Goddess rests upon a larger plaster piece, also from the artist. Each element is removed from it's original context offering a landscape like perspective, unique to itself, in a contemporary format. Low resolution camera was used to achieve a mild painterly effect.

DESCRIPTION: It's said that an elephant never forgets. This is in part due to the affection they shower upon the bones of members of family groups that have passed away. Elephants have been known to leave the main group and travel hundreds of miles out of their way just to lovingly carress a pile bones and then some! Do they remember? Of that there can be no doubt. From Tree's "TOY BOX" Collection of nightmare like digital painting of toys; come play on the dark side! This image features a vintage 1960's doll that has had the center cut out. Inside the removed portion is a Gothic gargoyle eating a hank of earthly flesh.

Burning

Often laying bear her self, naked and exposed to all dangers of the heart, there is a self sacrificing nature to the female. Be she mother, sister, spouse, daughter, or elder, inside the feminine soul burns secret dreams or desires often unfulfilled by the requirements of daily life; building with a threat to explode, consuming both love and hate. After positioning the emotional pose for the photograph, taken with a special low resolution camera, artist Tree Pruitt created this photomanipulation digital painting. This piece was carefully blended and shaped by hand, through the use of a computer mouse and various image programs, creating a blend of technology and humanity.
