The newest Neolithic-inspired image that I've created, featuring an actual tree trunk as background. Also features original Poltava-inspired cross-stitch pieces, characters from Old European and Cypriot script, and colors from photos of gems and gold leaf.

AquaSpiral

This is one of my images inspired by the ceramic art of Neolithic Europe. It began when I made the Neolithic-inspired ornament in the center out of polymer clay (Sculpey). I scanned this ornament and put the image on Photoshop, where I created the background which includes characters from Old European script (random, they don't actually spell out anything)...

Neolithic Mandala

This is an image of a Neolithic-inspired disk-shaped ornament depicting the Neolithic life-cycle of birth, growth, death and rebirth/regeneration. The spirals and other motifs also reflect the four elements (earth, air, fire, water), and the four directions. I scanned this ornament, then put the image on Photoshop for the background. The background includes characters of Old European script (colored red).

Neolithic HandStrata

Most of my digital and ceramic art is inspired by the dynamic art of the potters of Neolithic Europe, which I've been studying privately for years. This one began with my hand traced on notebook paper, on which I proceeded to doodle with Neolithic art motifs. After a while, I scanned the tracing and put the image on Photoshop 2.0, eliminating the notebook paper lines and adding a background inspired by Neolithic/Upper Paleolithic cave art (especially that which features the traced hands of ancient people)...

Neolithic Butterfly

Another scanned ceramic ornament of Neolithic inspiration. Made of polymer clay, the ornament features the Neolithic European butterfly motif, said to symbolize rebirth/regeneration and springtime. Found especially across Eastern Europe and the Aegean from the classical Neolithic until the late Minoan culture on Crete in the 2nd millennium B.C. Digital background courtesy of Photoshop.

NeoStag

Another Neolithic-inspired creation, with background by Photoshop. The ornament at the center was made from Sculpey polymer clay, with a metallic charm of a rock-art deer impressed into the middle, and the Neolithic European motifs surrounding it etched in with toothpicks, including a moon-phase motif directly below the impression of the "Neostag."

This is actually a poster, not a photo print per se. It is my website's logo, including the website title and url. The Neolithic-inspired ornament in the center is of polymer clay, and includes both womb and water symbolism, both with Neolithic motifs.

Cedar Goddess 2009

Our newest Neolithic-inspired digital image. I've started using natural/naturalistic elements in these images, including the tree trunk featured as matrix here. Here also are cross-stitch (poltava) patterns, polymer clay ornament with Goddess pendant impressed, swirls of the wood matrix, and numerous Old European script characters in colors made from photos of blue goldstone, ruby, fire opal, jasper and other gemstones.
