Beautiful Sound and a Smile

My family headed out to a little cafe in Portland on a Friday night to see our friends The Carrier Pigeons play. I saw this and could resist. My boy and a smiley face balloon wide eyed and intransted in the music that was playing in the background. It was a lovely night!

In Bloom

I was out the pumpkin patch with my daughter and her class, and instead of having a corn maze they had a small sunflower maze... they were all beautiful but this one caught my eye. Even though it isn't fully bloomed yet I found that it was still beautiful! It sort of made me think of an artichoke when I saw it. To think something that looks so rough to the touch will become something soft and beautiful in color. I love it!

Don't know why I took this photo...I love the colors together and the design and fabric textures. This is one from one of my purses I made. The handle was laying across my lap, thought it was a creative and unique photo.

My husband found these antique beer bottles under our house. I took this photo not realizing how beautiful it really was until the other day when I fell upon it again. Seeing it with new eyes. The color the shadows playing along the lines. Beautiful.

I took this romantic photo of some beautifully floral printed fabric I had used to make a custom gift for a friend. The lighting was perfect and makes every color pop!

Cupcake Love

I made these cupcakes for my 9 year old and they were a big hit...This was the best photo out of all the photos I took and I love how it turned out!!!

Peaceful

I did a photo shoot of my nephew and absolutely love how it photo came together. The lighting was perfect, the black & white makes the picture seem so calming, and my little nephew was so at peace with everything.

Up a Golden Tree

A beautiful photo of a grand Maple tree in the Fall. I took this with my floral setting on my camera and love how the detail of the trunk showed up in this picture. The golden yellow leaves inhance the coloring in the photo also. I love this!!

Sky Burning Red

I got to witness this gorgeous sunset the other evening and had to share! I didn't use anything but my sunset setting on my camera and clicked away. I haven't seen anything like this that I could remember! The air was cool and the wind was calm and this beautiful fire in the sky what more could you ask for on a winter day!!

Sand

I took this photo of my neices little feet as she lay on the sand tired from all the playing. I used my macro setting and love how this turned out. So peaceful to look at.

Berries

Took this photo on the Southern Oregon Coast. Sorry I don't know what it is but it was every where. I love the touch of moss that delecately lays across the branches and how the sunlight so delicately touched the leaves to bring out the warm greens. And the blue sky in the background makes the whole plant pop! Beautiful.

Down by the bay

Took this while visiting the Oregon coast. This was a perfect day and those don't happen often. The water was incredible and with the everything in the right place at the right time the moment needed to be captured.

Retired Seas

I took this photo of an old ship weathered by the sandy seas and finally left to sit in the warm sun light. I wonder what this ship would say if it could speak. What stories it could tell.

Daffodil in All Her Glory

I took this photograph with natural sunlight and a shadow. I haven't seen a daffodil this bright in color before. So beautiful

knotty wood

Took this of some beautiful drift wood that was brought up off the sand on the Southern Oregon Coast. I believe I used my macro setting on this one. Love how it all turned out. I wanted to get the old rusty ship in the background.

White Tires

This is a photo of an old vintage Schwin bicycle we have. You don't see all white tires that often and I love the lines and shadows of this photo. Great for the bicycle lover! I used my floral setting on my camera for this one.

Rusty Star

This is the backside of a 1940's cast iron tub. I took it with my floral setting on my camera and this has become one of my favorites. This was also taken in natural light.

Maple Veins

Natural sunlight shineing thru these beautiful maple leaves. I used my floral setting on my camera. Amazing how something so large can be so detailed. Everyone perfect in it's own way.

Seeing Dollars

A perfectly created sand dollar in natural day light. I took this just because I thought it looked beautiful sitting there in my window. I love the beach and to look at this brings warm memories to my mind.

Iris On a Rainy Day

This is a photo of my iris' in the misty rain. I used my macro setting and got as close as I could to the subject. I love it when the small drops of liquid rest so delicately on the petals of a flower. This is definately one to frame!!

New Growth- Fern

I love how this fern evolves each year. The smallest detail is so beautiful to me and the rich chocolate color of the stems I think make the green pop out all the more. I used my macro setting for this of course and love how the lighting played a part.
