Voyage of Spirit 2

This work is both an abstract and a photo-based work at the same time. It even has some cartoon-like character, but it is art and I hope that my art speaks for me, or at least for itself.

This is the original (2010) version of this work. Voyage of Spirit is about living (as they say) 'in the first person'. As such, it is about living spirit as immediate and direct experience.

An aerial view of some place on earth. With color adjustments it suggests a region that is on fire. Seconds before Contact could be a view from an airplane, a satellite or perhaps even a missile. My art is more about the experience - as opposed to any specific interpretation.

Cosmic Looking Glass V3

I wanted to produce an image to suggest a galactic explosion of energy - although there could not be a human context for such a view - which necessarily makes any such image an abstract.

a photo-composite work consisting of two layers: 1 a satelite view (a few hundred square miles) of the American mid west 2 a telescopic view of the Orion nebula. This is approximately what our some regions of our planet might look like to alien travellers.

LavaLandscape 5

(1/2008) One of a series of abstract works called "Lava Landscapes", so named because they involve photos of lava lamps and because the colors suggest water (blue), land (green) and sky (red, well let's assume that it's at sunset) and a setting sun (yellow).

Cybernetic Impressionism

This abstract work combines wave ripples and impressionistic textures somewhat reminiscent of Vincent Van Gogh.

This conceptual work refers to the date December 21, 2012, which is considered an important date on the Myan calendar. Here, I have included some of the ideas (my visual interpretation thereof) proposed by Dr. Paul LaViolette.
