One Acorn Falls

This is one acorn. It looks like several, but it is one acorn in the act of falling. It appears somewhat surreal. The original is a watercolor on illustration board.

Pears in Blue

These pears grew on a tree near Pleasant Hill, Louisiana at the home of close relatives. The family has suffered tragedies, but when I am on this property, I get feeling of imminence, as if reunion were about to happen.

The original is oil on stretched canvas. In the "Grande" size, it will appear somewhat abstract on close view. Step back, and it all comes together.

ACEO's

This piece is a collage of four small artworks. The originals are the size of artist trading cards, known as ATC's. You are getting four works for the price of one. The works consist of: a cool clown, balloons in a sunny sky, a Martian landscape, and three crosses in a simple setting.

The originals were done in acrylic in a watercolor style.

Courthouse Chandelier

Based on a lamp in the Caddo Parish courthouse in Shreveport, Louisiana. The lamp--or chandelier, as I like to call it--hangs from the ornate ceiling of the first floor.

This piece is a combination of hand-painted acrylic and computer manipulation. First, I painted the piece in acrylic. Next, I manipulated the image of the painting, pushing the colors to get a bright, almost surrealistic effect.
