The town in which I live, Yellow Springs, is named after a real spring that still exists -- though the "yellow" is actually orange, due to the high iron content of the water. The second in a series of the "Yellow Spring," for which the town "Yellow Springs" was named. The waters were once believed to have healing powers. Passages

"Passages" is the first mandala I ever constructed. It is a photograph of leaves floating on water, combined with itself in various ways to achieve the final result. As with most of my creations, I do not know how they will end up when I begin; the same as when I am taking a photograph, the best results occur when I quiet my mind and go with my intuition, simply doing what feels "right."
