FISHING in troubled waters - The river Kaveri is under dispute, by the riparian states of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Each state demanding that the river's bounty belong only to them. This photo was taken near the river's mouth in Tamilnadu (the lower riparian state)

The tip of one of the towers in Gingee. Gingee/Senji was one of the most impregnable forts in India - called "The Troy of India" this fort is now in ruins. It was originally built by a clan of the cholas called the Konars. With the fall of the Cholas, the Marathas took it over and strengthened it.

In Chennai's Marina are two memorials to two of the most popular chief ministers of the state of Tamil Nadu (of which Chennai/Madras is the capital) Anna (meaning elder brother) and MGR (short for MG Ramachandran) are the two leaders. This was shot in the MGR memorial, with its leaping pillars arranged almost like a designer Stonehenge and black column breaking the geometry perfectly.
