Black Sand Beach at Waianapanapa State Park, Maui

If you walk down to the west end of the black sand beach, there's a trail that runs along the coast all the way to the Hana Airport. This is a view of the black sand beach that most people never see. If you continue down this trail, you'll come to another small cove that is very secluded, although the beach is rocky. But it's worth the hike just to enjoy the view.

This pasture is a mile or two from O'heo Gulch and the Haleakala National Park, south of Hana, Maui.

Molokai Forest (H0086)

These twisted and curved tree branches create the effect of an almost impenetrable forest. It's part of the Molokai Forest Reserve, near the Kalaupapa overlook.

Sailboats in Paradise (H0089)

It's hard to imagine a more tranquil and beautiful setting for sailing. This photo was taken near the wharf at Kauanakakai, Moloka'i.

Moloka'i has some great beaches and often your footprints will be the only ones you will see. This beautiful beach is located just a few miles from the town of Kaunakakai, and is one of my favorite places.
