The moment I saw the Clara Natoli photo of this fabulous red Siberian Husky, I knew I had to do a portrait from it. The dog has such a commanding presence and attitude, personifying the breed. And then there's that fabulous Sibe Smile! I hope you enjoy this painting as much as I enjoyed creating it.

This is the original version of my "Cavaliers Running", made for the owner of Lilly and Rosie, the Cavaliers in the painting. In the final version, we gave Lilly a blaze on her face, considered by fanciers of the breed to be more correct. We like Lilly just the way she is, though :-)
