ALIEN derelict ship signal version

tried to be a little different here with this ALIEN poster...the crashed ship and the mysterious distress signal are not often the first things associated with the first movie in the series, but i felt this was more artful than simply another take on the creature design. i especially like the deep gradiant blues in this. a very simple and effective piece.

BIG TROUBLE in LITTLE CHINA

another vintage/retro sci-fi/action movie poster redesigns. this time, Big Trouble in Little China. aging and folding are high resolution digital, and behind a frame will look extremely realistic. with the limited color scheme and simple design, i was going for the look of a booklet or poster from a ballet or opera.

from the movie poster series, another retro-look foreign design, this time PREDATOR, in Italian. a bold clean take on the classic showdown

ROAD WARRIOR (french)

from my movie poster series, a french minimalist re-imagining of the ROAD WARRIOR. black white and orange with a dirty look. this is not the true french title, in fact, mad max 2 was pretty much only called 'the road warrior' in america....but i wanted it specifically to be more poetic- 'the warrior of the road'- since it's a hypothetical poster redesign anyway.

the THING

a minimalist movie poster design for the THING- the 80's remake starring Kurt Russell from John Carpenter featuring the scariest shapeshifter and possibly the best practical effects to ever be put to film. this poster has been treated with a very slight faux aging to soften the white and mute the other colors. although the remake was just called THE THING, i tagged on 'from another world' like the original 50's version because of the retro vibe and layout of the poster.
