Country Farm

A country farmhouse set in an autumn landscape, this watercolor painting has a lot of textural contrast with leafy trees and the grasses along the pond's edge as well as the farm fields and cloudy sky.

Drying Shed

This is the drying shed at a nearby historical site, showing how early settlers dried herbs and stored food for the winter. The old weathered building was open and the contrast of textures with the dried bunches of herbs, rustic basket and rough hewn wood was really interesting to paint.

Roadside Bouquet

A swallowtail butterfly flits over a roadside tangle of wildflower daisies and red clover. This painting has the foreground detail and abstracted loose background that is my signature style. The result is an informal 'bouquet' of wildflowers suitable for almost any decor.
