St Andrew - patron saint of Scotland.The orginal was painted in oils on a 12" x 12" stretcched canvas to which I added a 2" wide painted wood frame which became an integral part of the image.

The original was painted in acrylics on a 12" x 12" stretched canvas. I then added a bespoke wood frame which I decorated so it became an integral part of the image.

The original was painted in oils on a 12" x 12" stratched canvas. I then added a customised wood frame which became an integral part of the image.

Genghis Khan

The original was painted in oils on a 12" x 12" stretched canvas and I made a custom wood frame for the border which became an integral part of the image.

Machiavelli

The original was a collagraph print on Somerset paper. The size of the printing plate was 10" diameter. I therefore recommend you select Somerset paper.

Savonarola

The original central portrait image from an etching on a zinc plate. The orange border was a collagraph print. Plate size 12" x 12"

Edgar Allan Poe

Mahatma GANDHI

This is a portrait I painted last year of Mahatma Gandhi. This year we are celebrating 60 years of India's independence from Britain for which Gandhi played a very important and influential part. The background is the spinning wheel which was impo0rtant to him (he himself spun the cotton for many of his clothes). The border is in the colours of the Indian national flag.
