DescriptionI took this picture when I traveled across Russia with hitchhiking. The tranquil landscape with the big and quiet river or the lake, the blue sky and white clouds is characteristic for this country.I used my favourite slide film Fuji Provia 100F type 120 and vintage russian TLR 'Lubitel 166' for shooting. You can easily see each leaf, a flower and a blade in the foreground on a print! The Russian landscape is shot with the Russian camera. In it secret of a harmony of this shot.
Roman Popov, Novosibirsk Member Since October 2011 Artist Statement Hello! My name is Roman Popov and I am glad to see you on these pages which are devoted to my creativity. I took the my first photocamera in hand when I was 7 years old. I tested myself in various genres and styles since then. But photos of the nature and landscapes remained interesting to me all the time. I began to earn money by means of the camera with 2006. The wedding and portrait photo were the main sources of the income for me long time, but I made the decision to return to sources and to concentrate the efforts to Nature Fine Art Photography and I achieved certain successes in it.
I participated in a number of photo exhibitions in the various cities of Russia: - "Stop the instant — you are beauty" is my debut photo exhibition in 1998, devoted to the nature of the native land. - "Photo exhibition of independent photographers of Novosibirsk" in 2004, Novosibirsk, Russia. I submitted some landscape photos on this exhibition. - "Deposit of Light" Is the Landscape and Nature Fine Art Photography exhibition in the city of St. Petersburg, Russia, in 2006. I was admitted to League of photomasters of St. Petersburg by results of my participation in this exhibition. - Charitable photo exhibition for fund raising on treatment of musician Alexey Kostyushkin. Rostov, Russia, 2012. I submitted 10 photos which illustrate songs of this author. - "Sketches on a canvas by means of light" is the personal photo exhibition of landscape and nature fine-art photography devoted to the 80 anniversary of the town in which I was born. Taishet, Russia, 2013
