Amy Zeleski, Las Vegas Member Since August 2011 Artist Statement I have always loved the arts - theater, music, visual, dance. I have dabbled in it all, but mainly have focused in the visual arts. I studied art at Southern Virginia University then finished up with a BA degree in art education from BYU-Idaho. I taught art to K-5th graders at a Las Vegas city public school for a couple years. I now am a stay-at-home mom to a active and fabulous 2 year old girl and soon to come little boy.
My strong mediums have been collage and watercolor. My mother has always been an amazing quilter. Sewing was never really my talent or interest, but discovered I liked the style of fabric piecing. Since I love collage I decided to combine the two to make some pieces for my daughters nursery before she was born. After a few trial and errors I found my niche. I have expanded to other nursery collages, paper dolls, and LDS temples. Eventually I will expand my style and subject matter.
I hope you enjoy my collages because I love making them!
