Description A California Sea Lion shows his flexibility so that i may render seemingl simple curves which took many hours to refine. It was difficult to convey the animals body mass accurately while keeping the outline from being lumpy. Luckily Nature has done some of the work for me. As with my other marine mammal prints, the water is represented by thin lines both dashed and solid. I believe it would be dumb and redundant (redumbdant) to fill the picture with blue ink, as if that were the true essence of the sea, because it is not.
