DescriptionIf you are wondering if that dress is real, it's not. I painted it. I wish I had a dress like that. It's supposed to be a toga-like gown. I'm crazy about Greek fashion. The song 'Into the West' inspired me to design everything that's blue. The music and Annie Lennox's voice just fits with the different volumes of blue. I thought it would be beautiful if was completely finished as wallpaper. I put myself in there, looking graceful, because I feel there is good, kindness, and heart inside of me, even if you would walk down the streets seeing me as serious, cold person.
Mackenzie Ferry, Richalnd Member Since July 2009 Artist Statement I have a dream to become Disney's animator, creating characters, creatures, and landscpes. I draw artwork that are mostly emotional such as how I feel and how we all feel: angry, depressed, or happy. I not only draw or design for entertainment, but also from my heart. Looking at my own artwork feels as if I'm in that picture. What inspired me to become an artist is fantasy creatures from video games, such as elves and fairies. My goals are creativity and imagination. The theme for my artwork is emotion. Art is life. Life is art.
I do traditional artwork. However, I'm addicted to Photoshop (digital artwork) since I'm taking Grapic Designing at Tri-Tech in Kennewick, WA. I would draw the characters, scan them, and then color them in Photoshop. I am improving my skills day by day. I create my own little world with Photoshop because the volume, texture and colors are real, and yet, magical.
Art is my passion. I want this to become a career, a dream come true. With all my heart, I dreamed to be well-known throughout half the world. I wish to be an influnece to the people besides my family. I am autistic, and there are famous autisic people in this world. Gary Numan, British rock star, is diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome (like I do). So I hope I become one of the most famous autistic people in the world.
