DescriptionFairy Falls, Shingle Falls, Beale Falls, Dry Creek Falls... These are the many names of this beautiful waterfall. This unusual waterfall can be found in the Spenceville Wildlife Refuge about an hour north of Sacramento, California. It requires a 5.5 mile hike to see the natural beauty of Shingle Falls as the topographic maps call it. It is best seen in the early spring after heavy rains for peak waterflow. The early spring also provides great hiking weather and allows you to avoid the heat of later months.
