Description Sins of Envy was painted the night before Gustav was predicted to be heading in the direction of New Orleans a city already battered by a previous Hurricane. To me this painting was a gift from heaven; angels sent their wings earthbound through the eye of the hurricane hoping that that it would be convinced to change its course. Which it did. I also have to thank the wonderfully talented and beautiful Carla Bruni for providing me with the name of this painting. I was listening to Peche D’envie (Sins of envy) from Comme si de rien n’était when the paints took on a life of their own.
