DescriptionThis photo was taken with a wide angle lens on a small plane flying from Florida to the Bahamas. This image is part of a collection of work centered around the theme of utilizing Photoshop to change one photograph into a larger image, using copies of itself. The technique mirrors 4 copies over an implied 'XY-axis', generating an effect similar to a kaleidoscope, but possessing a more simple geometric symmetry.
David Werk, Seattle Member Since February 2010 Artist Statement I was born in Atlanta, Georgia on April 28, 1977. After 18 years of growing up in the humid southeast of the United States with only the family point/shoot camera to work with, I ventured off to college in California. After several classes and the purchase of my first SLR camera, painting and photography quickly developed into my main interests. I graduated with a BFA from USC in 1999. Since then I have been living and creating art in San Francisco and Seattle. I currently live in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, WA.
Welcome to my Imagekind photography gallery! Enjoy!
