Artist Statement Somehow, not intentionally, I've become a travel photographer--I would hit the road, and the camera would come with me. Home or away, I find my work is mostly about a desire to make the unfamilar, the foreign, be that Asian temples or Chicago baseball, make sense to us.

That said, it seems my favorite work, my best work, might be where I am most familiar, most comfortable myself: the US college campus. Recent work at the University of Chicago, Reed College, Dartmouth has been, I think some of my best. Certainly some of my favorites.
