Description Beautiful morning skiing through the trees when Jane Siemonsma came upon this scene. She stopped to capture the moment by taking a Poloroid. She stood there over an hour in her skis as she manipulated and drew on top of the emulsion. She later scanned the image and further manipulated it to produce the final.
Jane Siemonsma, Napa, California Member Since March 2008 Artist Statement Thanks for your interest in my work. For relaxation, I like to photograph what inspires me, digitalize it and then see what I can do. Many of the images that you see in this gallery started out as Polaroid Manipulations that ended up in Photoshop. The images go through many layers of experimenting. It evolves as I work to make it...perfect? I'd probably still be playing with them if I didn't have other things to do.
