Ciro Verdi, Tucson, Arizona Member Since November 2010 Artist Statement Although I have had a life long interest in photography – I have come to photography again after a short tour as a U.S. Air Force press photographer during the Korean War, careers in aerospace engineering, industry and academic computer consultng, and teaching computer sciences.
I live in the foothills of the Tucson Mountains of Arizona with my wife (Eileen) and eight animal companions, in and near majestic stands of saguaros neighboring the Saguaro National Monument West, and where most of my images are photographed.
For the past seven-plus years, I have been a contributing artist at Tohono Chul Museum Gallery, in Tucson, Arizona. I shoot, process, print, mat, and frame my works ready to hang. No two frames are alike, are of my design, fabricated from semi-finished wood, and finished and refinished to my satisfaction.
