Description My first memory of seeing robin's eggs was in a nest my father rescued from the eves of aour garage. I must have been about three. Their colour was just extraordinary! Though there are no eggs or nest in this painting, I did try to paint the sky with the same pale turquoise as those eggs. I just think its suck a fabulous colour in contrast to the rich colour of the orange breast.

My name is Suzanne and I’m a self-taught artist working in acrylics.
Painting is something I wanted to do for a long time before I started doing it, born out of a desire to play with colour. For years I found myself falling in love with colours, one after the other, needing to surround myself with objects in those colours. But it wasn’t until I moved west and settled in the mountains that my desire came to fruition.
Now I paint every day, inspired by my surroundings. I love the whimsical nature of trees and flowers and tend to put most of my energy there, translating what I see into terms of light and shadow, energy and movement.
