Description What does one say about Venice; before I went I thought it was to be trite and overdone. I was unprepared to discover a city which is a valuable gift to the world. A seafaring empire once flourished from this spot, and as such it has a timeless and universal appeal. This photo was shot in the center of the winter when the mornings were warm and the afternoons cold. It is another spot where the world gathers to feel the cohesion of humanity.
Matthew Person, Cape Cod Member Since May 2008 Artist Statement I work in a library, and I once was a chef in an embassy, but I have always been photographer. I love pinhole photography, and the pre-digital creativity which was a part of film photography. When I was younger, I thought of myself a social documentary photographer, but now I just shoot for fun, mostly while traveling. Digital photography is exact, instant, and pretty cool. Enjoy my photos!
